PED-EU-NET Working Group 3 meeting

On 10th - 12th of June 2024, Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) participated in the PED-EU-NET Working Group 3 workshop in Venice, Italy.

The COST Action Positive Energy Districts European Network (PED-EU-NET) aims to mobilise researchers and other relevant stakeholders across different domains and sectors to drive the deployment of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) in Europe through open sharing of knowledge, exchange of ideas, pooling of resources, experimentation of new methods and co-creation of novel solutions. It is funded under the COST, which is an EU funding programme that enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond.

More specifically, Working Group G3 - PED Laboratories, Monitoring and Replication, aims to explore the success factors of PED Labs and provide recommendations on their implementation. Define methods for the monitoring, evaluation and replication of PEDs and PEN Labs.

The closing conference is jointly organised by the COST Action PED-EU-NET and the City of Linz, due to take place on September 2nd & 3rd. It aims to bring together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to reflect on the PED development across Europe to date and to discuss the opportunities, challenges and emergent pathways moving forward to 2025 and beyond and aims to showcase the Action results from the past four years of collaboration.
