On 5th April 2024 PEDvolution was at the EEB24 Energy Efficiency in Buildings conference at the Wyndham Grand hotel in Athens, represented by the project’s Communication & Dissemination Manager Sympraxis Team.

This year the conference was entitled “Buildings Decarbonisation, Mitigation and Adaptation: at what cost?“ addressing a number of current challenges of today’s built environment, including:

• Buildings Adaptation - Mitigation - decarbonisation to cope with the climate crisis
• Quantifying the energy impact of heat mitigation technologies at the urban scale
• Innovation and effective strategies to ensure sustainable economic activity, while protecting the built environment

Sympraxis Team met with Keynote Speaker professor Mat Santamouris and Guest Speaker Prof. Dr. Phoebe Koundouri just before their inspiring speeches and had the opportunity to discuss and network with field experts, in order to better understand the needs and challenges faced by PEDvolution stakeholders in the Greek market and beyond.
