Third IEA EBC Annex83 Positive Energy Districts Summer School, took place this year between 8th - 12th July 2024 at the innovative Science tower in Graz, Austria.

The aim of this summer school was to provide insights into technoeconomic modelling of PEDs, on lifecycle costing and business cases for PEDs as well as on replicability of PED technologies and solutions, with a focus on economic feasibility in different climate zones. The summer school included group works elaborating on concrete examples. The venue itself is a planned PED, where a range of innovative technologies were be showcased.

Around 25 students attended the summer school, during which PEDvolution was presented under the session “Certification framework for quality and interoperability of PED assets and technologies”.
