On Monday 23rd & Tuesday 24th of September 2024, PEDvolution participated in the CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency cluster meeting on Positive Energy Neighbourhoods and Districts which took place in Brussels.

Represented by our Belgian and Greek partners VITO and Intracom Telecom, our team engaged in productive discussions on interoperability & energy systems integration and shared insights and experiences with other EU projects and stakeholders working on similar challenges.

After 2 days of intensive collaboration, the following takeaways can be noted:

• Valuable insights into future research needs for PEDs and innovative solutions being developed across Europe (especially on, interoperability, sector coupling, social engagement tools, regulation and business models)
• Exchange of ideas and knowledge particularly reflecting on the lessons learned from ongoing and finalised projects, as well as insights on similar initiatives
• Highlighted the importance of cross-project collaboration in addressing common challenges such as energy transition and decarbonisation
• Opportunities to leverage synergies with other sister projects to accelerate progress and co-learn contributing towards the end goal of the call
